    MAP™ Master Amino Acid Pattern® is a proprietary formula (U.S. Patent N˚ 5.132.113) of essential amino acids in a highly purified, free, crystalline form.

    MAP™ is recommended as a substitute for dietary proteins. Clinical studies have shown that the use of MAP™ during physical activity may substitute dietary proteins or protein supplements in a healthier and nutritionally more efficient way to:

    • Optimize body protein synthesis (BPS)
    • Optimize muscle mass
    • Optimize muscle strength
    • Optimize muscle endurance
    • Optimize muscle recovery after physical activity

    Why is MAP™ nutritionally more effective than dietary proteins or protein supplements?

    1. MAP™ provides a 99% Net Nitrogen Utilization (NNU).

    This means that 99% of MAP's constituent amino acids act as precursors for BPS to become body’s constituent proteins. By comparison, the most nutritious dietary proteins, such as meat, fish or poultry provide an average of 32% NNU. Consequently, only 32% of their constituent amino acids can act as precursors for BPS. Meanwhile, most protein supplements only provide an average of 16% NNU, because they use milk, soy, casein or whey as their primary protein source. As a result, only 16% of their constituent amino acids act as precursors for BPS. Therefore, dietary proteins provide a BPS that is at least 3 times lower, compared to MAP™. While, protein supplements provide a BPS that is at least 6 times lower, compared to MAP™.

    2. MAP™ is absorbed in the small intestine within 23 minutes from its ingestion.

    By comparison, dietary proteins and protein supplements need from 3 to 6 hours to be digested. This is 6 to 12 times longer compared to MAP™. By knowing a protein’s NNU (%) and its digestion time (min), a protein's BPS/min ratio can be calculated.

    3.  BPS/min is 99% NNU/ 23 min.

    By comparison the most nutritious dietary proteins have a BPS/min of 32% NNU/180-360 min. This means that the BPS/min of dietary proteins is 24 to 48 times lower compared to MAP™. Meanwhile, protein supplements have a BPS/min of 16% NNU/180-360 minutes. This means that the BPS/min ratio of protein supplements is 48 to 96 times lower compared to MAP™.

    Why is the use of MAP™ during physical activity healthier and more convenient than dietary proteins or protein supplements?

    1.     MAP™ releases only 1% nitrogen catabolites (metabolic toxic waste).

    2.     MAP™ is absorbed in the small intestine within 23 minutes from its ingestion.

    3.     MAP™ provides only 0.04 Kcal/g.

    How to take MAP™?

    Suggested use for non-athletes: 5 tablets a day (or as directed by a health professional) to be taken during a meal.

    Suggested use for athletes:

    • For the amateur athlete: 5 to 10 tablets of MAP™, 30-45 minutes before physical activity, in conjunction with the daily requirement of vitamins, minerals and trace elements.

    • For the professional athlete: 10 tablets of MAP™, 30-45 minutes before physical activity, in conjunction with the daily requirement of vitamins, minerals and trace elements. And an additional 10 tablets of MAP™ to be taken during the next meal (lunch or dinner).

    WARNING: If taking more than 10 tablets per day, increase dosage gradually (No more than 10 tablets should be taken within a two hour period).

    To calculate the required MAP™ dosage to substitute dietary proteins apply the following equation:

    Clinical studies have shown that MAP™ in a dosage of 400mg/kg/day (ideal weight) has been shown to be adequate as a sole and total substitute of dietary proteins to maintain the body’s nitrogen balance in equilibrium. To calculate the dosage of MAP™ required to substitute dietary proteins, apply the following equation:

    MAP™ dosage = (Dietary Protein x 0.4) g

    For instance, to calculate the dosage of MAP™ necessary to substitute 10 g of dietary proteins, proceed as follows:

    1. MAP™ dosage = (Dietary Proteins x 0.4) g
    2. MAP™ dosage = (10 x 0.4) g
    3. MAP™ dosage = 4 g

    Therefore, 4 g (4 tablets) of MAP™ provide a body’s protein synthesis (BPS) equivalent to that provided by at least 10 g of the most nutritious dietary protein.

    Hola! He empezado a tomar 5 comprimidos antes de entrenat pero me han comentado que tambien podria tomarlos antes de ir a dormir para la regeneracion muscular y evitar perdida de masa tambien debido a la edad. Es correcto? Muchas gracias por su ayuda.

    Hola, buenas tardes. Como bien dice, una de las tomas se puede hacer antes de dormir para evitar el catabolismo y mejorar la recuperación y el crecimiento muscular, así que sí, es correcto. Un saludo

    Hola Masmusculo! Me gustaria saber si tal como se dice en la descripción del producto, uno puede substituir su batido proteïco/carbohidratos por Map, sin que se note en el peso corporal. Muchas gracias.

    Hola. MAP al ser una formula de amino ácidos de ultima generación, si nutrirá a la perfección tu demanda proteica, ahora bien, al ser acalorico, si podría conllevar una ligera perdida de peso de las calorías que dejaras de consumir sustituyendo un batido tradicional, pero este, es justamente el poder en el que se fundamenta esta formula, al nutrir totalmente tus músculos y no tener calorías, fomentara una perdida de peso basada en la grasa corporal.
